Hi, We are hiring from Ferry Marina via Hoseasons. I know that you are allowed to moor, for no charge, at other Hoseasons affiliated boatyards, but I've also read somewhere that says you can moor for free at 'Agency' boatyards. The question is, can I moor at a Blakes affiliated boatyard? The one I have in mind is DRL Marine at Ludham - just in case there's no room at Womack Staithe when we get there.

Last time we were at Womak, we found DRL to be very accomodating. Staithe was full so the guys waved us over and even helped fill with water. Nice guys, I cant see you having any problems...

Hi Swordfish, We stayed overnight there last year and also found them to be very helpful and accommodating - but we were in a Blakes boat then and wasn't sure if it would be an issue turning up this time in Hoseaseons one.

It's a Broads Hireboat Association agreement so both should be equally welcome indeed most indpendent hire yards will also welcome you if only to demonstrate what a good deal you could have from them next year!! Bill...(The Ancient Mardler)

Nearly all the reputable boatyards on the Norfolk Broads are members of the Broads Hire Boat Federation. We all work together to try and make your holiday afloat as hassle free as possible. One of our key principles is that we provide free overnight mooring (subject to space ofcourse!) to all federation members boats. If it helps I can confirm that all boats booked through Blakes or Hoseasons are operated by BHBF members so all are welcome. There are also one or two independent yards that are members but check with the yard first before you set out on the river. I hope this helps answer your query and we look forward to welcoming you to our yard again at Womack. Darren
