just wondering if anyone has any info on this boat we have just booked to go in august with another familt 4 adults and 5 children i have read review from 2006 saying it is shabby and has torn sheets and sufferes from bad condensation resulting in wet bedding etc
has this boat been refurbed since 2006?
also it is based in ph yet the review states this boat will not pass under ph bridge is this correct?
Glistening Light is indeed based at Potter Heigham, at Herbert Woods boatyard. The fact that the water levels are seldom low enough to get Glistening Light through Potter Heigham bridge should not detract from the enjoyment of your holiday. Herbert Woods boatyard is located downriver of the bridge. You still have access to the rest of the Broads system.

Hello. I should think the sheet issue is not a problem, just check what they give you on takeover. You will get condensation on any boat and the trick is to allow a bit of ventilation somewhere secure overnight, with 9 on board you will be generating a lot of moisture. Wipe the windows each morning.
We had Glistening Light a long time ago, not a new boat then. Our only problem was that the canopy was really heavy to slide back. A lot could have changed in the intervening years of course, but it makes an overhaul/refit more, rather than less, likely. Why not ring and ask? They will not mind and it could allay anxiety.
I liked the boat at the time we had it.
