I think you had better take your girlfriend to one side and explain that loos on boats are not the same as the domestic loo indoors. Some have flushing loos but tend to fill up if used 'as normal' some it is just a case of thinking of it like camping but a bit more up market. Hope she is not expecting a domestic bathroom. Dont know about the boat you are hiring but please dont let her think it will be like the 'indoors'.
Hi Hylander I agree. We shouldnt expect the boat to be "Like home". However. Last year we were on Swan Rapier which had flushing loos. This was a complete "revelation" in comparison to the "pumping" thing that we had previously on Brinkliner. The year after that we had Fair Diplomat, but I cant remember the loo set up on that one Whatever loo Commodore has I am sure it wont distract too much from what I hope will be another great week in paradise!! Cheers
"Fair Commodore" is virtually a brand new boat launched in 2007. It will have "fresh water" flushing loo's. The fresh water actually being river water but I suppose its fresh! Surely you don't expect to pay over a grand and s**t in a bucket???
Thanks for the info. I must admit, I would have been a bit disapointed if we would have, had to utilise the bucket. I presume its par for the course for new hire boats to have the "De Luxe" loo these days? Talking of new boats. Are there any pictures of the new Ferry marina boat yet? Is it a Funnel 31? (Thinking about next year already) Cheers
