Far be it from me to post a shameless plug, but members might be interested to know that we are offering unbelievably cheap fishing weekends through the winter, from just £99 per person. You get accommodation in one of our luxury lodges or apartments, a boat for 2 days, 2 evening meals, 2 cooked breakfasts and 2 packed lunches. Price for 4 people sharing is £396, everything included. More details here: http://www.waveneyrivercentre.co.uk/fishing_weekends.html Cheerio JK

You could well be wrong James. There is excellent winter fishing upstream of you. I did seriously look at the poster in the gents privvy with a view to posting it on an angling site that I visit. Then I read when breakfast was served. Really excellent value, truely excellent potential, late breakfast though! Almost good enough to tempt a local. Over Xmas, when late breakfasts and dawn almost coincide, it would be a superb winter break for a dedicated angler, an ideal Xmas gift from a doting wife. Thanks for that JM I think that you might have missed the intended irony in my last post though... We are certainly hoping that anglers of all kinds will see the value in this. It could be a group of 4 blokes, or maybe 2 couples. The girls can always stay in the lodge and read whilst the blokes go fishing ;-) Cheers JK

Irony? What's that? By the way, big pike are female, Eddie had better be Edwina.
