This site seems to be duplicating information that is already available. To succeed it would need to be better/more useful. However it doesn't have the historical information or additional details of Craig's site. Nor does it have the searching on inexact name spelling of the Canalplan site (which also covers CRT and EA registrations in one place). I also found the very pale grey used in the search boxes made it very difficult to read my own typing.

Nice Try, but you have been beaten to it. Craig's site is a pretty good place to start. one can register a boat ownership with him, and post him photos too.

You will need to find a "value add" to attract people to your site. however, I do like the low-water predications at GYYS. Nice and clear.

Thanks for your comments and visiting us.  Whilst there are other boat websites with registration details and history the boat data is required for mobile apps that we are writing. Keep watching and we will keep you posted when released!

Our boat is on, name and number correct, however, if I am caught viewing yet another Norfolk website, I may be heading for a divorce, and what's the good of a boat without a cook? (She sees me using this site and hopefully doesn't view it).
Whilst not wishing harm to older sites, best wishes for your site, it must have already taken a lot of time and expertise.

I had a look at the site. It works OK and my boat is on although the information is inaccurate.
However, I can't imagine why I would want to look up this information, even less why I might want a phone app to do it off-line.
Can people apply to have their information removed?

I can't help but wonder whether the attempt at providing more detail about the boats, is worth the effort. All the extra information is only of value if it's correct.

For example, my previous boat is listed as having a single 1600cc engine. In fact it has 2 x 1500cc engines.

My current boat isn't listed, but I'm not too surprised as she only came on to the Broads from France in June.

We're happily take advice on any air-drafts!

May seem a little odd we added this but air drafts air published on the hire websites.

One of the apps we've planned will tell hirers if their boat identified by reg will fit under a bridge as we maintain a list of bridge heights and air draft and boat air drafts.
