Hi and welcome to the NBF. I would think for a budget of £750 you will struggle to find something big enough to live on without it needing a lot of work. I'm sure someone must have something somewhere, good luck with your search. Doug.

Got to say that I think that you are living on cloud-cuckoo-land! You probably can get a boat, of sorts, for £750.00 but it doesn't end there. Biggest problem is getting a mooring, especially a residential one. To say that such moorings are at a premium in Norwich is something of an understatement. You will need a Boat Safety Certificate, insurance and a toll, probably not much change out of four hundred pounds, and then you either need to keep on the move, or have a mooring, if you are lucky enough to find one. If I were you I would head for a coastal harbour like Lowestoft, the Broads is not residential, budget boater friendly, regretfully.

Had a look on Gumtree too: http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/14ft-shetland-boat-shell/1072201556 but by the time you've paid for the tolls etc you will probably be over budget and without a mooring. As soon as you put a cooker and electrics onboard you will probably need a boat safety certificate, and then your problems really start!!
