Thanks Nigel we'll try this one when we are next in Potter.

'A walk with Woodwose' its sounds like Anglia TV should snap this up quickly. Make a great locally based weekly programme. Wink

Regards

Perry

Nigel,

This could be something for the Broadland Archive (how about it Carol if you're reading this thread) or for the ImageBank

Here is another of my favourite Broadland walks. It is a circular walk taking in Honing Common, part of the Weaver's Way, Tonnage Bridge and the North Walsham and Dilham Canal. Quiet and peaceful with excellent views and wildlife.

As it is a circle, you can start anywhere. I am starting at Honing Common which is handy for parking if you come by car.

The photo shows Honing Common. Start here and take the footpath into the trees on the left of the picture.

Follow the path a short distance to Honing Bridge. Pass under the bridge and follow the Weaver's Way

This part of the Weaver's Way was an old railway line. You will see evidence of this as you walk along. It would have looked very different back then.

Follow the path until a road joins from the left. Turn right here.

Cross this last field diagonally to the right until you reach the bank of the canal.
