Cheers mate, i was at work , did you get any info you could share with us on site.A day out at the boat show springs to mind not that i am trying to talk you in to this of course.cheers for now look forward to reply.cheers for now.
hi roya there's not a lot i can say roya all except it was very packed out! the boats repersenting the broads were alphacraft spitfire/faircraft lyons fair emperor which looked very nice and very popular with visitors but it was good to see outside in the dock supermore from moore+co being put through it's paces.it's seems better to have the show there than the old earls court venue .hopefully we'll go again next year.
We thought 'Challenge' was a great boat, full of character and history.
Did you go down to the boiler/engine rooms? a cross between Hell and a submarine. I always think that any job on a boat would be fantastic - but this was unpleasant and claustrophobic in harbour, must be really scary in rough seas.
The steam whistle was quite something - made The Brat jump out of his socks!
hi denise yes we did go down to the boiler room and engine room, very surpised how deep the vessel was .my two kids loved it.my youngest one keeps going round the front room making the whistle noise and it took my mum back to her childhood when she lived by the docks at wapping.would'nt minded a trip round the dock on it! regards
