Taking the easy ones 11 is Ludham Bridge and 20 and 21 are of Hunsett Mill. Guess the broad is Barton and suspect some of the others are at Stalham.

Hi Bill,
thanks for that, i'd like someone to tell me what the boats are as well.
For a while there we thought no one was talking to us and that we had done somthing wrong and again thanks Bill.

All the best Dave & Andrea.

17 might be How Hill but it's difficult to say out of context

Thank you for these excellent images! Like Bill says, he has got the easy ones - I'm not sure that's How Hill though... I think some of the ones just before the Ludham Bridge shot are the Ant just below the bridge, the corner by the boatyard... but it is hard to be sure. It would be nice to see the sequence.

Hi

Looks like you've got some fascinating footage there too !! I can't help with the boat identification I'm afraid but I'm sure someone will be able to help you. Have you actually had the films transfered or did you use a digital camera to take stills?

Hi all,
I already had an image transfer box but my analogue VHS-C camcorder had broke down, so I took the cheapest option and went and bought a new DV camcorder, so I have started to record the cine film on to computer, and then take the stills from that using photo capture within windows movie maker, and post.
I have'nt got round to sussing out how to post moving film on to the forum yet, but when I do I will, it may take some time because we are only using a 56K modem.

All the best Dave & Andrea.

Hi

I had real problems when I tried to post a very small snatch of the film on here. Even with the resolution greatly reduced it was still a very large file which took me 20-25 minutes to upload it onto the forum with a broadband connection. And this was for a piece of film that was about 2 minutes long at most!! It then obviously takes members an equally long time to download and watch it so it wasn't really a viable prospect with the 20 minutes of footage that I have.

I'm really glad that you have got round to sorting your film out though, as I said before, this is all such historically important footage of Broadland that needs to be preserved. If I had the time(and money!!) I would love to be able to archive it all!!

Hi Carol,
I know the feeling, but with me i,m afraid, it's the case of plenty of time, but no money, but there you go.

All the best Dave & Andrea.

Great stills Dave, 13 & 14 are the boatyard before Ludham Bridge with the white house in the background being adjacent to Ludham Bridge Stores!

Nige.
