Hi all,

just had to add this pic from our last trip under! We never have much room to spare on Cavalier, and the screen has to come down, but Mike always insists on steering from the outside...This requires a serious "duck" at the right moment, and then some nifty steering while peering over the inch or two gap! Every time, I say that I will not do it again and that next time I'm gonna jump off and walk along the path as I can't stand the worry!

Karen

cheers!

Dead right Mike, the only way to do it.

Taking Princess under Beccles one year mother said she could have stepped of the roof onto the bridge, walked over the top and stepped back onto the boat roof the other side!

Now that really is close Paul! Mike will be impressed!

Your Mother must have more nerve than me - I'd have been hiding inside with my fingers crossed!

Karen

cheers!

Hi Alan & Helen,

Its that angle on the bridge (shown in your pic)that make it all the harder! ( or more fun, depending on your point of view!)

Did you go through when you had Brinks Royale?! I bet that would be a really close one!

And how did you like Fair Diplomat? It is one I've fancied but is quite prices for what looks like a smaller boat...

cheers!

You put the second pic up as I was writing my reply - that one really does show the tight fit!

I do like the thrill really, but I worry sooo much that we'll not quite make it, damage something, and have to return the boat red-faced to Richardsons, where we usually have a laugh with the girls about the daft things folk do when they are out on the boats!

Karen

cheers!

Hi Alan & Helen

thanks for all the info and pics!

been looking on a link for boat sales (Walton Marine I think it was) mentioned in another post this weekend - seen Barnes Royale for sale, and a boat same as Fair Diplomat! Dream on Karen....

Why didn't we win the lottery this weekend...
(Bought some extra tickets for luck as we were in the Gambling capital of the North - Blackpool, but to no avail!)

cheers!
