I own a 1933 Banham built 'Planet class'  Broads cruiser and would like to find out more about it for restoration/repair purposes, especially any sources of diagrams, photos etc. Original window detail esepcially useful. Can anyone help?

Good Heavens, how nice is that what she looks like now? Welcome indeed  Smile  If anyone has an early 60's Blakes thingy it should be in there complete with floor plan they were individually named so Craig should be able to provide more info.

Just a personal plea from me, I'd much appreciate it if you could help Venus with his quest as he actually has Brass ones large enough to publish some of my drivel, and you never know maybe next month the cheque will be larger Wink

No connection with Herbert Woods Charles, the Banham Boats from the Fens and Horning were probably some the best constructed wooden boats ever to be seen on the Broads.  The best known these days are the Monarches and Freedom which were bigger.  It a bit difficult to see the window detail have you any other pictures? (Especially of the Bows?)

A few more pictures of Venus...
I've got a copy of the Blakes brochure with the boat in but info about the boat or even about Banham is pretty sketchy to say the least -- shame that a builder of such repute seems to have vanished without trace.
