Hi Steve I think you are right. I have been in touch with marine tech and broom , and just have a little more research and then will be able to confirm my outcome mostly through the posts on this forum . I have an email from broom confirming a factory works plate in a photo I sent secondly marine tech confirmed it was one of two finished at Sancerre. As it was built over the resession. In the early 80s it is not quite clear what state of build it was at broom. When it was sold it is only a guess that it went to Sancerre to be engined and finished off. Other suggestions about it been a the dash board says sancerre cruisers. Although it is a broom dashboard my hin number will apparently find everything out but whilst the wheather the COVID have bean hammering us this year I still have not found it however a couple of days ago Iwa’s feeling over the blue stripe on the stearn and found something under the paint about 1” long and 1/4” deep just raised above the gel coat. So maybe this is the number on the starboard side of the boat were it should be. A long journey , but hopefully I will get this looked a has I have a survey due in this month so will clean off the paint while in dry dock
