My boat is still tar varnished and I scraped it back to bare wood last year, not a nice job.

Don’t buy Birds tar varnish as it’s like water I used a building supply bitumen paint which is cheaper and much thicker to apply, give it at least two coats and antifoul around the waterline.

In a nutshell
The Moore the merrier.

Guy, I'm really enjoying your story as it progresses. The updates and photos make for interesting reading, and we both admire anyone who takes on a beautiful Broads lady, so as  to keep her on the water for people like us to admire.

I've also learned something new from the posts about oxalic acid and it's use!

Well done, thank you for letting us come along for the ride.
