Hi boaters, Just looking at a 1972, Moonraker 36ft. Any one got any info on them before I get a survey done.

Whoa there,

Before we get onto the boat situation, where does the username come from?

Are you an ex one or still serving? Either way, which instrument do you play? LOL

Love from an ex-matelot.

Gary.

Back in the 1970's I delivered a few Moonrakers. lovely boats in their day but because of the way they were built back then it was sometimes difficult thus expensive to repair hull damage. A survey is wise and I suggest that you have a chat with your proposed insurance company. If you intend going to sea then there is no harm in asking.

Welcome, you came out prior to me joining (80 - 2001).

As your boat doesn't have somewhere to hang the sails, I can't assist. Smile

Someone will be along soon though.

Gary.

I repaired one in the late 60's and had to dismantle the bar, to get the floor up, so as to get at the gearbox. They may not all be like that of course. Great looking boat but get a survey.
