Re transport costs, I had an Elysian 27 Aft cockpit taken from Bells at Brundall to Littleport on the Great Ouse in April 2017 for £500. Very professional chap

We had a Freeman 24 for some years  ,thought it was a nice all round boat ,very comfortable and  well made .The only reason we changed was the hassle getting petrol and the fact we wanted to get under the bridges ! Would have liked the version with a canopy but now have a Bounty 28 that gets under nearly all bridges, but still have a soft spot for the “ 24 “ ,good luck  Smile

Hope to see you on the river,

Aaaah bridges! We're down South and that is where most of our cruising will be. However, there is an intention to travel up North.
The compromise as we see it is we won't be able to get under Potter, Beccles Road and probably Wayford and Wroxham Road. I'm assuming 8ft airdraft with the fixed canopy version.
Please tell me if I've got this wrong.

Beccles old road bridge 8ft from about mid high / low tide. Stated headroom 6'-6" at max HW, can't get my Freeman 23 soft top through at that!
