Thanks for all the help, I'll definitely get in touch with the BA about it. That brochure entry is massively helpful, she now has a Mercedes engine and the interior layout has changed an awful lot!

No info I’m afraid but congratulations on your purchase stu, with that long saloon and galley she looks to be the perfect regatta pontoon! And for those that sail hard but don’t want to party a quiet room up forwards.

I’ve always thought the Truman boats, motor and sail, to be sometimes pushing the bows of cutting edge design and even here I see hot water at the turn of a tap, central heating as a blast of warm air. She’s a year older than me but if she had all the brochure spec. at build she shorely wood have been at the pinnacle of her hire fleet contenders?

If it's a Mercedes OM 636 then chances are it was in there from build. Both Defender and Challenger had the Merc unit from new.

If I am a "woody" how come there are no "fibreglassy's" "plasticy's" or "steelies"?

Thanks, she certainly has plenty of room as a live aboard, tons of storage and most importantly (in my eyes anyway) the exterior styling has stood the test of time, she also runs like a dream albeit with a different engine. I sailed her from Goole to York after having her transported by road from Brundall and she didn't miss a beat.

The brochure entry stated she had a Volvo Penta. I was inclined to think the merc was original too before reading that.
