Hi all, me again! I had put a deposit on a Sheerline 950 aft cockpit but sadly lost my house buyer and so had to back out of the deal. Can anyone throw any light on the Falcon Capriole 1080 at Norfolk Boat Sales - its been on the market since Sept. 2016. I quite like it as has a very large cockpit, an elevated helm for excellent visibility and an island bed. Just wondering why it hasn't sold. Now just got to push on with a house sale so that I can get afloat! Regards to all, Barry
I suspect the size of the engine may be a factor. 200 + Hp on a boat that size Is really an overkill for the Broads.
My experience of buying an inappropriate boat for the broads took place about ten years ago when we bought a sealine statesman with petrol V8 engines with thoughts very similar to you. Absolutely brilliant boat but we couldn't go very far on the broads and a nightmare when we tried to sell.
We did mange four days on the Orwell but 4 days out of 5 years ownership hardly represented good value for money.
My advice Is if it Is your forever boat go with your heart but if you think you might want to sell it on then be swayed by your head.
Boats are even worse than houses when it comes to shifting something that doesn't quite fit in.
