Hi everyone, We have been using this forum for advice for a while but have always been scared to post anything! But thanks to everyone for all your help. We are currently looking to upgrade from our first boat a Dawncraft 25 to a Hampton Safari. In our quest to improve our knowledge we discovered from the collated list of all Safaris that J666 was originally owned by my husbands Grandad of Bowers Craft. It then moved to Babik boats but can't find anything further. My father in law remembers it well as the Wayford Witch being white and yellow. We are just intrigued to know if it is still on the broads and being used? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I do believe that St Olaves Marina which is anglia Yacht Brokers has a Safari for sale. They aint cheap by any means but extremely well made boats. Gosh I am doing well here, I have managed not to copy and paste anything I intended. Will try again with the Hampton Safari for sale. By the way there are lot of Hampton Safaris around from about £10,000 upwards. This is J666 - if you punch in J666 to the search it will come up. http://www.broads.org.uk/wiki/index.php5? title=Boat_Details&BoatId=4514&BoatHistory=6926 Women dont nag they just point things out... I really like the Hampton Safaris and they would be my first choice of fibreglass cruisers.
Best wishes, Pauline Once we were Rondonay, now we are simply Brilliant! Bittern Code 65

Thanks all for taking the time to reply. Yeah we have both already learned so much of here which has been really valuable. Especially as we don't know anyone else with a boat. Sadly my husbands Grandad is no longer with us as we know he would be delighted to teach us, although I'm quite sure he cringes that we have a fibre glass boat. Great to here the positive comments about a safari, we are in no rush to change boats so really waiting for something right for us to come along. Would love to find J666, really been enjoying learning about the boatyard and the stories, it's family history.

How do you get there by road please We have been up and down that road umpteen times and can quite see where you turn down for the Broad. Is there a sign post which we have missed or some land mark we could look out for. If anyone could help it would be appreciated.
