Welsome to the forum! I think that there was an article in Anglia Afloat by Jamie Campbell about the Landamores lapstrake dinghy's a couple of months ago. I don't have a copy, but hopefully someone will be able to confirm and tell you which issue it was!

Thanks a lot for your answer, that's a very interesting information, I'll get in touch with the paper to ask them.
It's very diificult to find some information about that boat, at Landamore's they told me she was a Miss Mischief but couldn't be more specific, they explain the lack of serial number by the fact that it was meaby a dinghy for a larger yacht.
If anyone can help me more, that would be very nice

Both my brother and I learnt to row on Lapstrakes although I had a smaller one to start with being younger. I have vague memories of Lesley Landamore talking to my father about his great new "invention/idea". It has been so long since I have seen one but I do remember Lesley standing on some expanded polystyrene in one of the dykes and getting excited about this new buoyancy medium, this would be about the same period but I don't recall if Lapstrakes had buoyancy under the side bench seats and aft thwart ? I do have B&W period photos of Lapstrakes, only in everday family use you understand, you are welcome to copies.
You could also approach Anthony Landamore or at least the company, they are a very pleasant bunch at the factory.

Thanks barry I would love to see B&W photos ! Do you recognise this particular type with her kind of "cadillac" wings. There is no expanded polystyrene anywhere, the former owner believed her to be from the 50's...
Inside there is a small plate stating landamores elanco lapstrake dinghy, what is ELANCO by the way ? The design ?

Wow ... she's beautuful Fred! I love the 50s American car style fins at the back!! 
That's a very different beastie to the small Landamores rowing/ sailing dinghy's that Barry mentioned! As you have already made enquiries with Landamores, I can't suggest that route - you can find details about Anglia Afloat here:

Elanco was the name of E.C. Landamores company.
I have just dug out my copy of the book "The Elanco Story" by John Yaxley to see what it says about the Miss Mischiefs. Not a lot of info I'm afraid, but it mentions that around 60 of them were produced between 1956 and 1966. There is a photo of one of them in the book, but it doesn't have the "fins" that your does.

Thanks, She's good looking that's true, I just ordered The Elanco Story on Amazon. But the rear "fins" seems to be quite rare indeed ....

Hi As Carol says it is a Miss Mischief. The picture in the book has Lesley and Dudley Page who is still alive, he is married to Lesley's sister, next time I see them I shall see if I can find any more details but don't expect too much they are both elderly and not in rude health. As Carol says ELANCO was Edward Landamore & Co Edward being Lesley's father and Anthony who runs the company now.
Lapstrake dinghy under sail, I also learnt to sail (ish) in one of these.

Yhe badge I show here, not very clearly, is the Elanco Craft badge which was fitted to all the larger boats in the hire fleet,Vestellas Vestas and vestinas.
