Not been on the broads since 2011 due to personal circumstances.  Have missed it a lot.  Just booked Pacific Diamond for next July and can't wait.  Never thought I would stray from Summercraft but wanted to start out from the South this time and from what I have read on here I think we will be ok with Pacific Cruisers.  I've been to various Greek Islands the last few years but although lovely it's just not the same as boating on the broads.

Hi Jess and welcome back.

I don't think you will be disappointed with Pacific Diamond.  I was well pleased with the boat and the staff at Pacific are really friendly people.

I found Pacific Diamond to be very nice looking, comfortable and handled well.  I also found iteasy to handle solo both mooring up and departing.  She has steps both sides of the cockpit area making easy access for stepping on to the river bank.  The ropes were extra long allowing them to be laid down the side of the boat where I would step off from the helm.

The steering is almost central which posed no problem.  I did find the view to the port side was somewhat restricted with the roof up but brilliant with the roof open. The roof being split in two made it quick and simple to open.  It slid open very easy even whilst steering and using one hand.

If you are sitting on the sofa area there is no view to the front looking out as the windscreen/window is high up.  On the plus side it allows natural light without people being able to see into the boat when you first get up.

All in all a very nice boat. Cheers

Kind Regards
Alan...

Thanks for that Alan.  Just noticed I posted in holiday tales.  I'm an idiot at times.

Thanks for the picture.  I think I have been on the same type of boat before.  Benmore from Moores and Gardenia Girl from Summercraft.

That's good so you know what to expect.  You do have the added bonus of a bow thruster which I find useful. Smile

Kind Regards

Jess you will be familiar with Pacific Diamond, it was built by Moores and was originally Benmore 3.

Pacific diamond is a lovely boat really nice pleasure to be aboard, lovely layout spacious and very comfy. Nothing not to love. Had new cushions in the main cabin, water level gauge so very useful, usb port, lights inside cupboards and there's more I cant remember.  Pacific themselves are superb!  Totally recommended and outstanding customer care and service.  Holiday reviews done plenty of pictures and write up.

Lovely boat one of my ultimate favourites.

Enjoy

Bob
