Hi Dave and Su, if you contact Andrew Barton (from BCBM) by email you will find him very personable and accessible but in no way hard sell, so feel free.

We're very pleased to have moved from a 2 berth hireboat which was very nice (£800 per week) to a six/seven berth boatshare for much less per week (you do the maths, the sums are on the website!)

SternMoor (Keith,my husband) will be attending the AGM for Moonlight Shadow in mid October (I'm attending a wedding reception, we have to divide our efforts that weekend!).  At the AGM the owners will get together, discuss any major purchases, upgrades, etc and draw for shares for Summer 2011 to Spring 2012, one week in each season.  Then there will be swopping and changing between people who need the summer hols/half terms and those like us without small children who would prefer otherwise.  As a boat needs to be used, anyone who can't use their agreed week notifies and it's available to the others.  Up to four people can be listed on the share certificate but the boat MUST have at least one of the shareholders aboard (when afloat) each week, it's not for hire.

If you want to ask any further questions, please feel free to pm me or write here.  I confirm I have no connection whatsoever with bcbm and will receive nothing whatsoever if you choose to join.  It just works for us.
