Morning all, i just read an article that a 83yr old yachtsman was rescued after running aground a mile off Great Yarmouth at Scroby Sands, the gent, one Peter Almond was aboard his 28ft yacht the Femme Chic, he was taken off by a support vessel and his yacht towed to GY by the Caister lifeboat..another good job by these unsung heroes??

Jack Union.

I swear mate, it had 2 blunt ends when i hired it.....

I suspect that the saying 'no fool like an old fool' springs to mind here. At least he has lived to tell the tale.

Good crowd that Caister lot. They do deserve our support when their boat is out collecting funds on the river at Beccles.

Read that in the EDP.He gave the wrong position to the rescue services ,blamed the GPS for sending him aground and then admitted he had been rescued several times after being torpedoed in the war !!! Haven't we heard that before ? think Del boys  Uncle Albert.

See you down the river,
Roy and Diane
