Firstly apologies if this is the wrong section, i wasn't sure if it should be here or in 'General chat'.
I am just letting you all know that a boat ran aground about half a mile down stream of Reedham bridge, on the Yare i beleive rather than the cut, this evening, probably around 7ish.
The crew of 2 were taken off by the work boat/tug 'Titan' and met by the coast guards at Reedham quay. What boat she is, and whether private or hire, i'm afraid i don't know, but the Titan is standing by her all night just in case she starts taking on water.
Here's hoping that there were no injuries (the fact that they were met by the Coast guard and not by an ambulance is a positive) and there is no lasting damage to the boat.

"Darling, where is that water coming from?"

There was in fact another one (an ex Johnson's Anglia) which was deliberately beached on the Waveney after taking water following replanking below the water line but this should have been attended to because John Creesy was due to attend yesterday to recover the boat to WRC where it could be lifted.  I met the somewhat frantic owners on Sunday who had been taken off by another private owner and were struggling to find Maffet Cruisers.
