We are coming up again on 23rd March for a week and wondered if anyone could tell us how the tides have been behaving.  Have got the tide tables but obviously at this time of year things can get a bit naughty.  We havent been up since October, so is there anything else we should know about that may have changed since then.
By the way, my moan on the forum, some villages have water supplies at moorings where they allow you to fill for a donation.  I really hate the tightwads who fill up and leave without putting anything in the tin.  It's become an obsession of mine watching people. Should I get therapy or be brave and have a word with these folk to explain how benfecial it is to have such water taps? Mad

I'd suggest ....therapy....and I'm prescribing a long, slow cruise on the river.
Wink

For every person such as yourself that behaves impeccably on the rivers....there will be half a dozen that don't.

Don't let them ruin your break....and your relaxation.

In the grand scheme of things......the water isn't that important.

Now....if they were littering.......  Mad

Im with Kev,

Therapy is required.

I suggest getting one of these floaty things with a rag and stick attached. No engine.

What better way of spending a couple of weeks

Gary.

Tides seem to be dropping again this weekend and with no rain in the offing there may be scope for levels to fall somewhat - not before time.
However this time of the year look at Southgates webcam a couple of days beforehand and you will get an idea. That and the Bridge Pilots the day before are the best guide !!

Cattons,

Absolutely right on the button m8! If these facilities were to be removed we'd all struggle eventually. It doesn't hurt to stick a few coins in the honesty box...

agree 100% - however it would be much more beneficial if Richardson put bottoms on their boxes Playful
