I've taken a quick look through the NYBC brochure for 2007. On hire are: White Moth (Skippered) Lapwing Palace America Camellia Primrose Coriander Lydia Violet Scarlet Lady Leading Lady Zoe Twighlight Gone (among others) are Mimosa (my first Broads sail) and Larkspur (Jake and I had her for a few days this year.) I would urge anyone who is thinking about sailing on the Broads to do it soon.

That's 13 yachts. With Lucent joining the fleet during the season, Hunters will be the largest yacht hirer on the Broads. Whilst it's good to see Hunters doing well, the decline in hire yachting is not good news.

Bum! and i was going to book Larkspur for a week. have they gone up for sale like the last lot did? I'd be very tempted to go and have a chat with my bank manager for May.

If Richard is right in associating my rentals with boats continuing in NBYC service.. the next to go would be: Palace, Camellia and Coriander. I was surprised to see that May has gone... she has been high on our list for some time, but has never been available... which suggests that she was very popular.

If they ever sell Lapwing, she's mine! at almost any price. Westerly appears to still be for sale for £13,500 at the brokerage, but no sign of May, Jennifer, Larkspur et al. My Honeymoon was on Jennifer. i'll be keeping an eye out for her as she's special to us. Looks like we'll have to hire Lapwing again, shame that

From what I understand, Larkspur is sold already and the rest are up for sale. Does seem a shame.

BTP Can you explain what you mean by 'the rest are for sale' please?

Broads, Apart from the ones mentioned in the first posting, I understand all the others in the fleet are for sale, but when it gets to the point that a yard is selling a quite a few, you can normally put in an offer on any of them. Cant see them selling Palace or America though, and they obviously wont be selling White Moth. Andy
