The guy who took us through the bridge yesterday and today at wroxham is one of the nicest people I've met down on the broads tells you how to do things better shows you how to try and moor and had a really good chat with him this morning but mostly is just a nice guy really good to have someone like him working on the broads.

Coming downstream the pilot is collected from Wroxham Launch Hire on the left bank, immediately before the bridge.

Thanks for that Pete, is there a mooring reserved for boats going under the bridge and what times is the pilot there? Sorry to be a nuisance.

I`m not aware of a special mooring, (Having a private boat, I don`t actually use this service) but if you approach the moorings where the dayboats are kept, if it`s not correct, I`m sure you`ll soon be directed to a more suitable place for taking the Pilot on board.

I believe that the place is staffed from about 08:30 to 18:00 in season, but not sure what arrangements are made out of season.  More information from Russell Marine who operate the dayboats and Pilot service: Tel:  01603-270262 or e-mail:  mail@russellmarine.co.uk
