Is it the boat moored just downstream from where Eastick's yard used to be. There are no mooring signs where it is so would presume it is there with the landowner's permission or maybe even owned by the landowner.

We have seen this boat with someone aboard, and did see it once, many years ago actually on the move! I always thought it belonged to the Shire horse place, but can't work out why it's moored so remote from the dwellings.

Regards, Ray.

It's the 21st century . . . so where's my nuclear-powered flying car, then?

Scrappy boats are not just a Broads problem. This article refers to Wales and there is a suggestion that the problem will peak in about fifteen years, some logic to that timescale. Are we any nearer a solution I wonder?

Interesting facts in that article.

Worrying too.

Unfortunately the world nowadays has a very “throw away” mentality, without much thought for what happens to the items - small or large- once discarded. Nothing much is made to last these days, but that doesn’t mean they break down easily in a puff of magic smoke.

As for boats, well they last a lot longer than cars… but still an issue I know.
