Hi all.

Remembering a thread from a few months ago and also and article in the EDP, is there any further news of Golden Galleon?

Is she still just beyond Reedham and being regualrly pumped out by the farmer/landowner or has she been 'saved' or destroyed?

Anyone got any recent pictures?

Best wishes,

James.

Do you want her? Serious offers to the Broads Authority to pass onto the owner. I dare say that you could have her for not very much.

Jenny Morgan,
Being the name of my boat and the generic name applied to the flag atop of a Norfolk Wherry mast, unique to Broadland. Now you know!

Hi, i can confirm that the is still rotting away on her mooring in Reedham, and i beleive that she is now classified as derelict.
Her wheel house has partially collapsed and there is vegetation growing on her.
I also beleive that a consortium of Preservationists did try and buy her a few years ago, but either the current owner (who now resides in South Africa) either wanted far too much for her or was unwilling to sell.
I hope this helps.

She has now been declared an abandoned vessel, and a notice has been placed on her.
A launch has been moored opposite in case its needed in a hurry.(pumping out/ oil spills or simply rolls over)

This whole thing could get very expensive. Gasp
