There's been a lot of threads on beer on this forum, but i wanted to get a proper idea as to what everyone's favourite is. If you don't touch the stuff, fair enough. If you do, what are your preferred beers.

Remember, beer is beer, be it bitter, mild, lager or whatever.

My preference is a good real bitter. Deuchar's IPA, Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Yates' bitter, Jennings Cocker Hoop, Wherry, the list could go on!

I also like a good, strong lager. Leffe Blonde is exceptional.....6.5% but slips down so easily, it's deadly! Affligem, Pilsner Urquell, Budweiser Budwar (Czech, not US), Brigand, Bruggse Tripel, Duvel.....mainly Belgian and Czech. And NEVER COLD! I detest, loathe and abhor chilled beer/lager as i can't taste it.

Anyway, over to you chaps and chapesses.

PS. I think i'm safe in putting a tick in the Stella box for Roya!

Really liked the Green Jack Brewery beers on offer at the Locks Inn at Geldeston. Especially the Orange Wheat Beer and Summer Dream which is a summer seasonal flavoured with elderflower. Very refreshing on the very hot July day that we were there.

Cheers

John

Could not agree with you more your selection is excellent but try Oakham JHB or Bishops Farewell by the same Brewery.Hampshire Pride of Romsey is superb as is St Austell Tinners Ale.
Lager in this country or imported from the near continent
is made in "Beer Factories" by what only can be described
as Chemists not brewers from small breweries who love their craft.
PS not at all keen on Wherry!!!!!

When on the Norfolk Broads the ONLY drink is Woodfordes, Wherry, Nelson Revenge, Great Eastern which I hear they are phasing out, Admirals Resereve and it's a shame that don't do a Captain Joshies Elite  Playful Wink  but I live in hopes

Hi Folks,
As a well travelled, ex member of HMForces. The best Beer I've ever had was Stella in Belgium.

But have you heard the sad news about Beer ...

I have to hope that this study is flawed, but the evidence seems
irrefutable.

Yesterday scientists for Health UK suggested that, considering the results
of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer,
men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption.

The theory is that drinking beer makes men turn into women. To test the
theory, 100 men were fed 6 pints of beer each within a one hour period. It
was then observed that 100% of the men: gained weight, talked excessively
without making sense, became overly emotional, couldn't drive, failed to
think rationally, argued over nothing, had to sit down while urinating,
and refused to apologise when obviously wrong.

No further testing is planned

Bismark

Don't take life too seriously
Cheers
