Hi all. I'm after a bit of holiday work in a boat yard to stick down on my CV, see if it'll help me get a job. Got a couple of bits of advice on another thread, but thought I'd see if anyone else can recommend a yard / someone they know etc... Hope you can help, Rob

A couple of thoughts Rob - Try Lowestoft College, they organise work experience for people on their boatbuilding course, so will have lots of contacts. Also worth talking to Hunters Yard, especially if you're interested in boatbuilding rather than just boatyard work. No idea whether they'd have anything, but it would be a great place to have on your C/v.

Thanks, Robin I've emailed Lowestoft, and will get on to Hunter's shortly. We've hired from them before and they were a decent lot. Now just got to work out where to stay...

I know some of the lads (well one at least) at NBYCO is doing an apprentiship, but I don't know what college he's going to. Might be worth asking though.
