nearly posted this in the boatyard section but could not make up my mind if a Marina is classed as a boatyard so feel free top move the post.

We are in the process of purchasing our first craft and are looking for moorings at present. Has anyone any experience of this Marina?

A secondary; where is the cheapest Diesel on the Broads.

Many Thanks

Perry

Hi Perry,
i moor at the top of the Marina when i have used the Pub Wink
The Marina moorings look very good and well looked after.
But much more to the point is the Sports (health centre} where in the morning you can get Spot On bacon rolls and fresh coffee, served by a very nice lady,,
Plus of course real Loos.
IT all looks very nice.Dont know how much though?
As Bill said over to you James.

Perry,

when we were looking around earlier in the year we looked at Ferry Marina and came to the view that it was expensive unless you wanted all the facilities. By looking around we found a mooring across the dyke at a lot less £, but less facilities.

We just paid 49p/litre for diesel at Woodsdyke.

Ferry Marina...I'm moored there and as far as I'm concerned it's a good facility. It's not overly expensive (we pay about 1400 per annum including VAT for a 24 foot boat) and that includes a years membership of Hunters Spa. Diesel prices I'm not sure about (petrol engine) but I can tell you that unleaded is about £1.14 per litre.
Ownership has changed recently but there seems to be no overall changes as the new staff are as friendly and welcoming as in the days of the Kings ownership. In my own case I got lucky...the yard manager used to work at Falcon Sportsboats and built my boat back in 1984 and he's given me a fair bit of history about her sea trials and even towed her to the London Boat Show..small world sometimes eh?  Smile

Thanks to all for the information.

The 'Spot On' Bacon Rolls & Coffee may sway it roya!
