No, I may have been slightly misleading as it is not necessarily on the main sign but has caused controversy in the past.

Is it that the reference to a couple of by laws about mooorng are no longer quoted?

Or, are they/have they been removing the no swimming stipulation ?

( I haven't noticed that, it's just me a hazarding a guess at what the BNA might do...)

The No Swimming policy has absolutely no legislation supporting it and wild water swimming is now very popular. Hazard warnings, yes, outright prohibition, no.

Karen your closest, not sure about all moorings yet but on the ones I have visited recently there dosnt appear to be any reference or advice any more regarding the running or non running of engines.

I would be interested to hear others observations, it has certainly been less noticeable so far in our experience.

There is no anti swimming ‘stipulation’ as JR has correctly stated. It can be discouraged but not banned, however one supposes it’s only a matter of time before a serious incident occurs and it’s thrown under the microscope.
