It's back!!! Saturday 30th APR 2022, Horning Boat show, free, open to the public, based at the village and Swan Pub greens by the river plus up on the recreation ground.. Horning Sailing club, are having an open day. You may come just for a cup of tea, cheaper than anywhere else, we have no paid staff it's all run by volunteers and have a break watching from the river front. Or you may go for a 20 minute - 30 minute trip in our sailing boats, Most are of the won't fall over kind, cos there's a big lump of lead hanging below.. Under 16's free, £5 for those over, we need to pay for insurance. (qualified helmsperson supplied) For those experienced and fit there are likely to be dinghies available. life jackets supplied, we prefer flat shoes, High heels and varnished woodwork are not a good idea.. http://horningboatshow.com/ Me I'll probably be of Car Park duty..

Just a bump up, the show is today, The main public parking is at Bewilderwood there is a £1 shuttle down to the village. Weather looks good, just as well as I'm in the sailing club car park all day, which is for exhibitors only . All are welcome to come and visit the sailing club.

Two of my friends went to the Boatshow. Neither was impressed and both were surprised at just how few people there actually were. We have had 'boat shows' at both Oulton Broad and Lowestoft, lots of visitors, next to nothing sold, sadly no more boatshows https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/horning-boat-show-draws-thousands-8933322 Jolly Roger

I was there all day on the main field by the village hall & there were a steady stream of visitors & had a walk down to the site on the river & lunchtime & it was very busy. Of all the events I have taken the Broads Society Stall to in the past four years his was the one which stood out with visitors keen to talk to us - Fare better than the Royal Norfolk which we are attending again this year. We will also be on Womack Staithe at "Ludham Open Gardens" on Sun 26th June

IMHO a very poor display compared with previous years. Mostly charity stalls on the top field and only one . Boulters , on the bottom field . Nothing much to buy.
I cruise on THE NORFOLK BROAD as I can not cruise on something that is NOT. Official Photographer. Video

Judging by Paul's photograph the average age of the attendees was well over sixty, loads of disposable income!!
