For those who have not been following this its well worth reading other MAIB reports on small craft incidents to see the detail they go into - I have signed up to having them sent direct as they are issued - there are not too many & just delete if of no interest!
I know for a fact that seven or eight years ago the question of being able to walk/fall/slip off the back of the new generation of hire boats was raised at a Navigation Committee meeting where it was quickly dismissed as having no substance.
JR, I've been through the NavCom minutes from 2012 to 2015 and there isn't even a hint that the subject you referred to was ever mentioned.
Been hit by another boat? Report the incident to the Marine Accident Investigation Branch’s dedicated accident reporting line on 023 8023 2527 which is monitored 24 hours a day. Help to make the Broads safer.

Hedgehog, the forum clock is often out by 1 hour depending on the time of year. The hamster can't keep up when the clocks change. Haven't you noticed before. We are often ahead of our time lol.
