Very rainy and windy day went to oulton broad looking for a general grocery store for a few bits ...still looking...could not walk past the hotel ..to far so went to the Dutch garden moorings to stay overnight next morning totally flooded...so had to wait for it to recede...only had half hour to move off the moorings to catch the crossing over breydon...had to go now or never do had to think ...now the simple way i tie the moorings ropes means I can use the boat hook to grab the loop and pull it up ...stearn and bow  eventually untied ...but being solo i have another rope  tied in the middle and ordinary knots to secure it...I could not undo with the boat book so out of desperation i had no choice but to cut the rope which did the job and off i went....so if anyone finds the rope i could not help but leave it...I hate litter maybe someone can use it oh for a peaceful holiday...anyway I've booked moorhen from barnes for next September...surely the weather can not be as bad...famous last words...

Well if it is any consolation because of Covid our holidays have been rather lumped together.  We are not normally always on holiday each month.   August - two named storms and the coldest August on record.  September - the worst amount of rainfall for decades.  Did someone mention global warming.    We are off again in October so anybody reading please dont bother to book October because it will probably snow.    We are just plain unlucky,   all that gorgeous weather in the previous months and then muggins and co goes away and all hell breaks loose.

What really got my goat this morning was the weather woman saying sorry but no more dry weather for you, what ruddy dry weather,  here in the East it has rained non stop for days.

Do they make footwear for webbed feet?

Women dont nag they just
point
things out...
