‘Afternoon, folks ......

If ever you’ve been ‘caught short’ and felt the need for a momentary stop in the Horning car park above Swan Green for a quick pop to the loos, please be aware the car park is now managed by Euro Car Parks.

We noticed today that it’s now camera monitored with the usual array of unsightly notices, which in my opinion is unnecessary and totally out of keeping for such a lovely place, as there was nothing wrong with the previous ‘pay and display’ – but obviously others thought otherwise.

One more ‘blot on the landscape’. . . . . .

Not quite an ancient mariner ...... though some say he was at sea before Pontius was a pilate !

There are a number of people in the village who are unhappy about this, and the management of the Swan has been approached, so hopefully some of the ghastly signage will be removed (see the Horning Facebook page). It is totally inappropriate for the village and I'm surprised that planning permission wasn't required for the conservation area when the BA is so strict on other things.
