Hello all,

We moved to Oulton Broad from Chelmsford in December 2015 after many visits by boat - and we love it!
The Broadview offers a great place to sit - the sandwiches are excellent value and delicious.
The Commodore has an award winning terrace with unsurpassed views over Oulton Broad, the food is good too (in my opinion).
The Waveney is so much smarter now that it has been renovated, great beer and we enjoyed the crispy chicken burger.
We have not eaten at Marmaris yet (in the old Red Herring building), but I know others that have and they loved it.
The Copper Smokehouse offers delicous food - brisket and burgers are a must.
Please do visit Oulton Broad on your travels.  It offers a number of well run establishments and is a great port in a storm.
Don't forget the Premier Stores on bridge road, past the Wherry Hotel up the hill on the right - only 10 mins walk at most from yacht station. Not as well stocked as the Spar, but you can get milk, sandwiches, booze etc.

Please do come and enjoy!
Smile

And you might, as I understand it, also happen to bump into the forum's founding father  Wink

Well hello there Bill!  We had our very first boating holiday with your good-self back in 2003 and here we are now - all your fault (hee hee).
I would love to see Richard around these parts.
