Any organisation that teaches the RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman Course is likely to offer customised own boat tuition. It's the sort of thing I do myself, but I'm not local and I'm fully booked up. No specific recommendations as I don't know the organisations personally but my son had a very good experience with these people doing a VHF/SRC course.

Whilst RYA training is very good, and I would certainly suggest going with an RYA instructor, unless you desperately want RYA certification, you don’t necessarily need an RYA course.  If, for example, you did RYA Powerboat Level 2, or RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman, you’d be tied down to a highly prescribed RYA syllabus.  You might be better off saying to a well qualified instructor, ‘this is what I want to be able to do, these are the things I don’t feel 100% confident about, and have some lessons specifically tailored to your needs rather than do a host of things that you don’t need.
