Ah, nostalgia. But there’s no future in it, though.

My new car is marginally quicker and somewhat more economical than my previous one, but the bells and whistles that used to come as standard now come as extras.

My OLED TV is massive, but the TV programmes are cr*p compared to the ones my 24” CRT used to receive.

My modern house has insulated floors, wall, windows and roof, but, if I want to put up a shelf, I have to use special plugs or find the wooden frame, because the plasterboard won’t carry the weight like the brick/breezeblock walls of my previous house did.

Continually looking back gives me a crick in the neck. I cherish the past, enjoy the present and look forward with relish to the future.

Seasons greeting to all, whichever celebration is your choice.

I certainly agree with Paladine. The past is done. We can only affect the future. Look in that direction.

I am currently on a slow train heading home. Only two days of work to go,  then a nice break to look forward to. That is almost certainly going to be better than the last few tough days at work. So things in the future can be better than the past...

I think it's just a reflection of interest in Boating in general.
Hence the 5 day boat show this year

Many Thanks Tim

Its clear from the number of views of information I have posted that there are around 150 people looking in during a 24 hour period and of course some posts do not need a reply which I think is not bad.
Have a good Christmas and an even better New Year as the days will be getting longer by then.

I am usually looking in but not many topics at present need a reply. It’s definitely a quiet time of year but at least we know we can keep up to date with Broads news here, if indeed there is any. Maybe one or two members could post some picture quizzes to keep us going?

That's why I find myself on other forms these days as this one (in my view) is not as lighthearted and engaging which I think puts people off. Plus being a software tekky the outdated look and feel offends me  Smile

Off course that kind of view is just as likely to offend the owner of the forum, who's hospitality you enjoy for free.  Wink   Cheers  Tinhat
