9/9/17. 15:14hrs. Team paged by Humber to reports of a private cruiser with engine failure. The cruiser become stuck on the fast flowing ebbing tide and narrowly missed moored boats. The Gorleston ILB towed the cruiser in, being supported by Broads Beat. The team with staff from the Gt Yarmouth Yacht Station safely moored the cruiser and carried out a welfare check on the persons on board. #90/17.

ILB tasked by Humber Coastguard just as she returned to station from attending the Maritime Festival.
Help was needed by a privately owned broads cruiser/house boat that had suffered engine failure whilst turning onto the river Bure by Asda.
The vessel drifted down the river Yare and managed to make it under the Haven Bridge without colliding with it.
Police and the event rescue boat were trying to stop it from hitting the moored boats when the ILB got on scene.
A crew member was placed onboard to assist the police and rescue boat but it was soon realised a tow was required. The crew then established a tow just before the boat was about to collide with the 'Triton' (Gardline vessel). The casualty vessel was then towed back under Haven bridge and to the yacht station.
The Police boat went on ahead to make sure the river Bure was clear for to tow up. Gorleston CG team and yacht station staff were waiting to meet the casualty.
Two passengers onboard.
