13 May 2021 Team tasked to Brundall Marina where a vessel fire had occurred.  We are pleased to report that no persons were injured and NF&R had the fire out in quick time.  Our task was to liaise with and collect details of the tasks of Counter Pollution, real and potential.  The tasks of containment and dispersal fall to a wide range of agencies within the marine environment.  #063/21

Team paged at 11.15 this morning to Acle Bridge for a lady who had fallen on a broads cruiser.
Also tasked Winterton and Gorleston CRT.
Once on scene the crew worked with the ambulance service to place the casualty on a stretcher and carefully carry her off the boat to the ambulance.

Hemsby Broads Rescue was paged this evening to a vessel at the end of Thurne Dyke which had broken down and also had on board a female with a suspected hip injury. Also, on scene was Bacton Coastguard teams. After an assessment of the situation, it was deemed to be in the best interest of the occupants to arrange for the repair of the boat and then to relocate it back to Potter Heigham with Hemsby Broads Rescue as escort in case the mechanical problem reoccurred.

Bacton Coastguard successfully relocated the craft to a safe mooring with Hemsby in escort. Once moored the casualty was dealt with by the Ambulance service. Hemsby Broads Rescue returned to base to prepare for the next call for assistance.

Our thanks to Bacton Coastguard for a well-planned and executed operation and to the crew who remained at the station to assist in our return.
