2/1/18, 16:24hrs.

The team were paged by Humber CGOC to reports of an object on the Breydon Water mud flats.

After a search of the area and speaking to the first informant it was concluded that the object was a piece of tarpaulin. A false alarm with good intent.

Hemsby lifeboat shout ,
" Hemsby Broads Lifeboat was paged at 17:15 today by HM Coastguard to reports of a female casualty who had fallen on the foot-path at Clippesby Mill. The Broads lifeboat was launched at Thurne & proceeded to Clippesby Mill to search for the casualty. After a short while HMCG provided further details & the lifeboat was tasked to search the St Bennett Abbey area, however once on scene Hemsby Lifeboat was stood down, the casualty had been located & our services were no longer required. Also in attendance: EEAS & Winterton CRT."

Hemsby Lifeboat were paged by HMCG at 18:28 yesterday to reports of a 57 year old female who had fallen on-board a vessel sustaining head injuries somewhere on Salhouse Broad. whilst on route, more information come through that the vessel was moored along the bank, so the decision was taken not to launch the lifeboat but to drive directly to the broad. On arrival, the vessel was identified & casualty assessed, made comfortable & first aid was administered. The vessel was then relocated by the hire company to Wroxham to ease the transfer to hospital. Also in attendance was Winterton CRT.

Hemsby Lifeboat was paged at 21:15 yesterday by HM Coastguard to reports of an unwell 84 year-old known to have existing health conditions who was located at a bungalow difficult to access by road between Martham & Potter Heigham. The Lifeboat was launched at Cess Road where the crew were met by Winterton CRT, the ambulance service were already on scene. The casualty was transported via Lifeboat back to Cess road to an awaiting ambulance & the crew were then stood down. As usual, thanks to our boat crew for their fast turn-out and to the team who stayed back to help wash-down after. Lifeboat was refuelled & back on service at 22:50.

19/04/18 @ 14:57 BST.  Tasked to investigate a report of a small vessel with 6 youths aboard was seen cruising up and down in the busy port area.  Tasked to locate and stop to dispense safety advice.  Port area was searched as best we could due to the myriad blocked access points to the river.  Particular concentration at the Haven and Breydon Bridges was also undertaken as the report suggested that the vessel was heading towards the former of the two.  Unfortunately they evaded our potential interception but at least cleared the port area and its associated dangers for small craft.  #033/18
