Thanks for that Steve, so not local, just bad luck it happened there and not elsewhere and cause was a simple engine falour in one boat with another boat attempting to assist. No drama edp must have been really desperate to fill the page, no wonder journalism gets a bad name.It was probably the most exciting thing to happen on their holliday and no doubt will be embellished by the time they go home to there next drill night. CALL OUT The crew were paged at 23:55 last night to reports of a male in the water at the Ferry Inn, Horning. Whilst enroute, details came in that the casualty had driven his car into the river, Hemsby Broads Lideboat was launched at Horning Sailing Club & proceeded to the Ferry Inn. The casualty had been helped out of the water by 2 members of the public, already on scene was NFRS who escorted him to the other side to the waiting Ambulance. It was unclear if there was anyone with the driver at the time of entering the water so Hemsby Lifeboat was tasked to conduct a search, after a while with nothing found the crew were cleared to stand down. Also in attendance was Winterton Coastguard & Norfolk Police.

Team called out today to back-up Winterton CRT with a CASEVAC from a cruiser at Acle Bridge. While attempting to moor up at the Acle Bridge Restaurant moorings, the gentleman slipped on the quay heading injuring his head. The casualty was taken to hospital for treatment leaving his partner to cope with the vessel. Not feeling confident enough to cruise the vessel back to the boatyard in Wroxham, it required more secure mooring until it could be collected by the boatyard. Also attending this incident was: Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust The Broads Authority Winterton Coastguard Rescue Team plus ourselves Gorleston Coastguard Rescue Team #147/18
