Personally, I found the programme somewhat disappointing. I thought it was disjointed as well and also too scripted - even given poor Pru's condition. Not one of the better episodes in the series in my view and a lost opportunity.

A lost opportunity for what?
It is merely an entertainment show for the masses. Not a specialist programme for those with a great interest in the area, nor a cheer leading exercise for Broadland tourism.
Taken at that level I thought it fine enough.

Mercator, I rather agree with you. For anyone who knows the Broads, it was very disjointed, and why keep repeating the Thurne aerial shot? For anyone who doesn't know the Broads, it didn't seem to offer enough to tempt them to try a holiday here.

However, I suppose this is really all about Pru and Tim, rather than an advertising programme. A lovely couple, no doubt, but I would rather have seen something more engaging with the area.

I like it! It showed some of the Broads at it’s best, the researchers had obviously been reading too many stories on Forums with the comments of treacherous tides on Breydon and being sure to ensure you cross it at “the right timre” I would bet money that the Broads beat call was scripted to include something that has been a hot topic on the forums. Why would Oulton control contact the BB boat to tell them about a boat leaving Oulton with some rowdy lads on if the BB boat wasn’t in a position to respond? If the behaviour was that bad why ring GY yacht Station to get them to give the lads a talking to, BA rangers have no authority to do that. What if the boat was heading to Beccles or Norwich? Nope totally fabricated for the cameras IMHO.
I would have liked to have seen more and maybe 2 episodes would have been more fitting but as Harlo says it wasn’t a publicity plug for the Broads it was the story of 2 pensioners having a very nice time.

I agree with Vet Chugger & TT almost every TV programme can be critised by a "expert" but to the vast majority such programs are good entertainment I have yet to watch it but as long it does not replicate the recent YouTube Video of boats stranded on and in the mud & reeds it   may well get people interested in visiting and therefor sustaining the viability of the whole area for the good of all
