Be aware still a lot of ice about on the Northern rivers.   Fishermen were passing this morning in a boat and shouted ice above Wroxham Bridge,  I know the boat yard at Faircraft Loynes was frozen yesterday. Today the dyke near us started defrosting but was sending shards of ice across the river at Wroxham.

Going to be another cold one tonight.

Not so good for boating, but a boon for the gin and tonic.....

Oulton Broad also affected - you will be lucky to get within 6-800m of the Yacht Station.

I had to stand on the bow of the boat breaking the ice with the boat hook to get back on my mooring in Horning.

Hi Daviddownunder,

Lucky you, mind you if you went into Silverline for a boat 1) you'd be out of luck they are closed, for winter. 2) you would have ice round their boats. I was down to see our boat moored next door and the ice was all around.

Also visited Womack Staithe Ludham, by car, part of Womack Water was frozen over!!  A few of the local wild life were out for a stroll, see photo.

John.

Photo taken a few days ago when the river froze at Wroxham.   It was taken from the holiday home we were staying in.
