HI avg45, I agree it must be me!!! Maybe boat hire companies would be prepared to pay me not to hire from them and book my boating holidays elsewhere. Happy new year to you and all members. Kind Regards Alan... www.mynorfolkbroadsboating.co.uk/

Nigel - I agree! You and Christina haven't changed much at all. See you had her cleaning the decks even on honeymoon though Take care both of you, hope to see you out and about this year, Karen

I have now received a letter from Barnes Brinkcraft and updated bookings paperwork from Hoseasons so all systems go. Well pleased with the service provided.

We too have received the relevant information from Hoseasons and B-B for our two bookings this year. All well and good, except that whereas Hoseasons say "all booking details remain the same", as I read the B-B material we won't be getting the early start Royalls provided (a minor matter really) and we will have to pay for car parking (a definite change to conditions), so not entirely pleased.

Hi Shakespeare, A bit of good news for you as I had already e-mailed Barnes Brinkcraft regarding the free car parking that was in Royalls terms and conditions at the time of booking. I received a reply confirming that they will honouring the free parking for Royalls customers. Kind Regards Alan... www.mynorfolkbroadsboating.co.uk/

we had a similar situation with a booking with moores that was then taken over by Barnes. On arrival at the yard Barnes tried to charge us for parking.

I too was affected by this and am rather 'miffed' since Royalls assured me in person (as well as in their Blog and on Facebook) that they would be operating until the end of the 2017 season. Have you checked your start days? Barnes' web site shows that since the takeover they have changed as, I suspect, takeover times have changed as well. In fact I have changed my booking to one of Barnes' Elite boats, albeit at a much higher cost, mainly because we were regretting booking the particular Royalls boat anyway.
