Can any members let me know where water is available on the river Yare.....I know it is available at Reedham.  I have the idea that boatyards would not really want private craft calling in for water, any ideas ?

Hello and welcome to the forum  Smile

Regarding water, I think the general consensus is that it is available at most places for a small fee - usually £1.00 per fill. If you wander into the boatyard, visibly clutching some money I think you are unlikely to be disappointed.

Boatyards exist for boat owners. Every boat owner is a potential customer. Just because today you pay them £1.00 for some water does NOT mean that you will never, ever, set foot there again.

The boatyard that says "Certainly you may have some water - with pleasure!" is far more likely to turn a casual visitor into a regular customer. I can think of a number of boatyards who go out of their way for the most trivial of requests - and get a good mention on the Forum here in return.

happy watering

Hello and welcome shellback Smile

In addition to the boatyards I believe you will find water available at The Reedcutter pub at Cantley and The Ferry House pub at Surlingham.

A list that includes water can be found on my website
Here

Kind Regards
Alan...
