Just seen this on the BA's website, just to add to the issues of waste disposal.......

North Norfolk District Council has just informed the Broads Authority that they have to temporarily remove the remaining waste facility at Horning to deal with a rat infestation.

The bins and structure will be removed on Monday 20 June 2016 to allow a period of baiting to take place.  They need about three weeks of no waste there to effectively deal with the rats.

The area will be fenced off with signage to direct people to the nearest alternatives – Hoveton Riverside and Ludham Bridge.

They will then re-instate bins and collections, probably some point in July.

Last Autumn the bins at Horning were literally crawling with rats. It may be an inconvenience but you have to remove their food source to deal with infestation of that magnitude. It was so bad I dont think people would have been keen to approach more likely to lob a bag in the general direction adding to the problem.

I have swallowed the anchor but
