The Upper Reaches of the Ant are always sheltered.  Boat yards you can stay in for shelter.

As an ex-airline Capt. Sailor and Farmer weather is very close to my heart and I study the Northwood North Atlantic and Jet Stream forecasts daily and if uncertain download the Grib Files.
To be honest I can not see any indication of winds of that strength for next weekend. By and large there is normally not enough fetch to kick up uncomfotable conditions at most moorings so tie up as normal and you will be OK. In what area will you be?

Captain Howe.

but you don't suck a Stoat

Please leave the water and
banks as you would wish to
find them.

Hi there ,
Just came back from the broads today , and saw the local weather forecast for the week this morning ,there was no mention of high winds at all , just getting warmer , anyhow if there was going to be high winds , I'd head Womack water stathie , ranworth stathie , gays stathie ,Sutton stathie , in a the sheltered parts , if on a hireboat and providing it isn't handover days then go a hireboat yard

I've just checked the Met Office forecast for Saturday and the conditions couldn't be better. Temperature 20 degrees and 11 mph winds from the south east. Roof back, shorts and flip flops!  Wink

I know, in the summer it's either Teva sandals or flip flops, but I'm afraid the latter is my footwear of choice.  Smile
