No Bypass, stops at Taverham by the garden centre and Churchills Shooting Ground. Full of innovative ideas though about ten roundabouts to back up the traffic. £178m down the drain.

The highways agency love wasting money and causing inconvenience, they are replacing 21 miles of central reservation and the signage and fixing matrix signs over the carriageway on a 21 miles of motorway, between jctn 28-31 on the M1 it has up to now taken them 2 and a half years where there have been narrow lanes and a 50 mph speed limit, as we speak it is not yet finished, cost £124 million pounds.

Well, for me, the road is going to be useful. It will speed up my journey in both directions.

Not so good if either of us happened to live in Lyng Woodwose.
Because the "conservationist types" have blocked actually finishing this road it is a complete waste of time and money.
Stopping it on the A1067  (Norwich - Fakenham road) and not crossing the river Wensum means that people will have to find ancient bridges to finish that part of the journey. As the Lyng route (right through the middle of the village) is the only one that offers a bridge over the A47 and a slip road onto it rather than trying to do the impossible of crossing both lanes that will be the used route.
A ridiculous idea to start the thing in the first place unless they intend to do a proper job and complete it over the Wensum valley.
From a purely personal point of view given the location of my house in the area the road as proposed will be great. I can easily access the A47 to the south and the A1067 to the north (along with the NDR)and traffic will not increase in my area to connect the two. So This is not a personal gripe, rather a comment on a stupid planning decision based on pathetic and outdated conservation ideals.

If there was to be a completed road I agree that it would be a very useful addition to the local network. As proposed it is an expensive joke.
I would prefer that they stopped it and knock a tenner off my tax each year so that I could donate it to some worthy charity.

That last section to connect to the A47 north of Norwich
will, in my opinion, be built and I'm pretty sure that
how to do it, is already in planning.
By-the-way, this was not put up to debate the pro's and
con's of the job but to inform everyone of delays that
may be encountered on journeys. A quick guide if you like.

Sorry BB but that is not correct. There is no intention to complete it at all. Conservation concerns.

It's in the name "Distributor," not "Bypass"
